Logistics Control Tower

Control Tower gives you a single, live view of every shipment — across all couriers — so you can see what is moving, what has arrived, and what needs someone to act on it.

Shipment data is collected automatically from the warehouse system and from the couriers themselves, so you do not need to check individual carrier websites. Control Tower normalises it all into one table, watches for problems, and tells you which shipments need attention and what to do about them.

What you can do

Track shipments	One table covering every courier, with live status, latest tracking event, origin, destination and contents. See The shipment dashboard.
Find shipments fast	Filter by sponsor, protocol, courier, status, date range, temperature requirements and more — or search a tracking number directly.
See what needs attention	Control Tower continuously checks shipments against a set of rules — stuck in customs, dry ice running down, no courier update — and flags the ones at risk. See Shipments needing attention.
Act on a problem	Each flagged shipment tells you which action clears it: acknowledge it, request re-icing, or request a status update.
Report	Build billing, client and on-time-performance reports in Metabase. See Reporting.

How to think about it

Control Tower distinguishes two quite different questions, and it is worth keeping them apart:

• "Is anything at risk right now?" — that is Requires Attention. It applies to shipments still in flight and is what you work from day to day.
• "Did this shipment arrive late?" — that is Delivered with Delay. It is a historical record, only meaningful once a shipment has been delivered.

Filtering by "Delivered with Delay" will not show you today's problems, and Requires Attention will not tell you last quarter's performance. Reports about past performance use the former; the dashboard uses the latter.

Where the data comes from

Shipment records originate in the warehouse system and are enriched with tracking data from the couriers. Most sources are pulled on a schedule; FedEx and SmartWays push updates in real time via webhooks. Because of this, the freshness of a given shipment depends on its courier — the Latest Event column always shows when that shipment was last updated.

Every shipment is re-checked against the attention rules whenever new tracking events arrive, so the flags on the dashboard reflect the most recent information Control Tower has received.

Control Tower is available at logistics.precision-cloud.com. If you cannot sign in, or you can sign in but see no shipments, contact your Control Tower administrator — visibility depends on how your account is scoped.
